All my life I’ve lived in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, along with my husband Jason, and our 4 kids, 3 dogs, 20 horses, 7 barn cats, and a racoon that thinks it’s a barn cat every night when the sun sinks down. I would like to tell you that I love quiet baths, long stints of reading, and exercising for an hour each morning before the kids are up. But the reality is, I haven’t been in the bathroom alone for the last 10 years, if I get a second to read these days I start nodding off, and some mornings the kids end up waking me up (my treadmill has never seen me before noon). I’m one of those homeschool moms who likes to cook with real butter. And during the week, when the school day ends, I travel 2 miles to the farm where I was raised and have the privilege to train other people’s mounts and teach horseback riding. It’s quite the dream!
While I don’t have much time to catch my breath, I am passionate about a few things… adoption, marriage restoration, being nerdy, and surviving a loved one’s addiction. Each of those carries its own weight of difficulty, strength, unknown, and hope. And Jesus. He is the glue. And I’m crazy about Him!
